Create the auth key
Auth keys for Tailscale clients can be created in the admin console at: https://login.tailscale.com/admin/settings/keys
Press the Generate auth key... button
Give the Token a name
Usually its important to set the key to reusable, otherwise it will be invalidated after the first login.
Keep the expiration at 90 days, we’ll set it to not expire later.
Keep Ephemeral and Tags disabled and click Generate key
You should now see the auth key, store it at a secure location.
Disable key expiry
Before following these steps, make sure the client was connected at least one.
Go to the Machines Tab and search the device.
Click on the three dots and then Disable key expiry
Now there should be a Expiry disabled badge.
