By default, the Fritzbox blocks DNS records pointing to local IPs, to protect you from DNS rebinding attacks.
Examples:
192-168-178-33.lovense.club
should resolve to192.168.178.33
test.example.com
could resolve to10.156.15.5
- same for every DNS record pointing to a local IP (with exceptions like
fritz.box
)
Exclude a domain from the rebind protection
- Login to the Fritzbox interface (usually at fritz.box)
- Go to
Home Network
→Network
- Open the
Network Settings
tab - Scroll down and click
Additional Settings
- Scroll down further to
DNS Rebind Protection
- enter your full domain in the
Host name exceptions
field- also include the subdomain when needed
- to configure multiple host names, give each a separate line
- Save the changes with the
Apply
button
